CAN I DESIGN MY OWN BOARD?

Yes, we will endeavour to recreate a design of your choice, with whatever wood you choose. Please email us to discuss your requirements and we will do our best to help you.

We can also engrave messages, dates, names and images using our in-house CNC router.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR BOARD?

Each board is individually hand finished with a food safe, hard wearing, wooden worktop oil/wax mix. They should not be submerged in water to clean. A wipe down with a damp soapy cloth or a spritz with an anti-bacterial spray is all that is needed.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I OIL MY BOARD?

Boards would benefit from an occasional re-coat using any food safe oil/wax mix, this could be as much as once every couple of weeks to once every 6-8 weeks. If you see that the board looks dry, then this is a good indication.

ARE THEY FOOD SAFE?

All the boards we make are food safe. They are treated with a food safe oil/wax mix.

WILL THEY MARK AND SCRATCH?

Some boards almost look too good to use, but this would be a huge shame! They will mark and become scratched with use, but this is a good thing as they will age, and change with time. We can refinish any wood board, if needed, available upon request.

WILL THEY WARP OR TWIST?

Due to the nature of timber some movement may occur. This is to be expected and is completely natural. Timber moves from season to season and can move with changes in temperature and moisture, however it will find a stable level within your home in time.
